Building friendships through the outdoors

It all begins when you reach out to us. We are great with emails and texts and we use these means for convenience. But, we are old fashioned (or maybe just old). We like to speak with each group that is interested in coming and experiencing a hunt at Oak Motte Ranch. We work with you to find dates that work in your schedule and also allow us to ensure the ranch has sufficient down time between hunts. By ensuring sufficient time between hunts, we not only limit pressure on the animals but we also allow some flexibility to deal with unforeseen events like significant weather impacts.

Once dates are confirmed, we collect the deposit and your dates are booked. From there, we check with you on a variety of wants and needs (food allergies, likes and dislikes, etc). We discuss schedule for arrival on the first day and departure after your hunt. Ask any questions you have at this point!

When you arrive at the ranch, we will meet at the headquarters. We conduct an orientation to introduce the team and make everyone familiar with how the ranch operates. Then, we will take your group over to the hunters’ camp (located about 1 mile from the headquarters) and get y’all situated in your housing. From that point on, everything is about hunting and fellowship.

The headquarters and hunters’ camp are pictured below.
